Last spring, I ran a weekly blog series titled "The Art in Lighting". The blog ran for about 12 weeks, concluding at the end of my spring semester at school.
This semester, I'm returning to my weekly blog series as I step into the next lighting course. This semester though will be more detailed and researched. I'm not only going to post pictures and explain the theme of the week, but I'm going to point out small nuances in the pieces I share.
Kind of like last spring, except this time I'm going to take more than a half hour to write this blog.
The full truth is that last semester was one of the hardest semesters I've had to deal with, and since I didn't set out any sort of pacing for myself in the beginning, I simply let things like my lighting blog slip into the background to be done later and quickly. This semester I'm trying to reorganize my school life, and maybe the first step needs to be my blog.
So for anyone who has followed my previous series, I do apologize for not having a picture to share or an analysis to throw into the void, but this particular blog is to more let my audience know that I'm still here, and I'm still going to write every week.
However, like my last series, this series of blog posts will have an ending as well. But only in regards to myself picking out pictures and matching them to lighting themes as set out by my teacher. After "Return to Light" concludes, I'll be starting a more permanent blog that will be more personal, and more helpful to students just starting or finishing college.
And that's a blog series for another day.
